Join visual artist Maeve Clancy to create cut paper artwork which will become part of ‘Unwrapped’ – South Dublin Co. Council’s annual winter celebration.

Using Oscar Wilde’s ‘The Selfish Giant’ as inspiration, participants will learn how to draw in cut paper, creating individual designs for delicate lanterns. This intensive and busy workshop requires no previous experience in cut paper work and is open to anyone over the age of 55.

Lanterns created will be featured in UNWRAPPED, which takes place on December 8th, at 3:45pm, starting from County Library, Tallaght. At UNWRAPPED audiences of all ages will be invited to journey together through the garden of ‘The Selfish Giant’ in an exciting and imaginative promenade event involving animation, puppetry, music and visual arts that brings the story’s themes of friendship, love, and generosity of spirit to life. More information about UNWRAPPED is available at or find us on FACEBOOK at UNWRAPPED South Dublin.
